I haven't cut hair in about a year. This haircut took me the three hours to complete because I am very meticulous when it comes to cutting hair and also because I was stopping periodically to adjust the camera to ensure the video will come out good. My skill are getting better each time I cut. I just want to thank everyone who let me cut their hair up until this point because without those people, I would not have been able to work on my skills enough to improve to the point where I am now.







While this cut isn't my best work, It helped me realize that I can still cut hair very well even after going a year without practicing. I took me a while to Catch the flow however, I was able to blend the taper well in the end and make the front line up look sharp. I used to struggle with the front line because I didn't want to mess up and or push some ones line up back. This time I trusted my skills and the result came out great! Watch and see.

How To Get 360 Waves: Day Method

     Welcome to the 360 wave Process blog. It's been a while since I last posted here because I've been very busy. I have not forgotten about this blog and i do plan to keep writing new post about how to get 360 waves on here for everyone who likes to read about them. I do want you to know that you can always visit my YouTube channel called 360WaveProcess where I create 360 wave videos that teach everything you need to know about getting waves.  Getting 360 waves does not have to be difficult however, for many guys it is. It was a long journey for me to achieve the waves i have today. When I was just starting out, I put in hours upon hours of brushing every single day. I was fifteen years old and determined with the goal to get 360 waves in my hair. I wanted them badly and I wasn't going to stop until I had them. I went to the beau sty supply store around the corner from my house, spent three dollars on a medium Annie military brush, and began the process. I had a burning desire to get waves. It was only a disappointment when after a month of constant daily brushing I had barely any waves. There was only a little hint of waves in my hair. The hair laid down and when I looked closely in the mirror I could see shadows of waves in my hair. This only made me more disappointed because I wanted my waves to be deep, slick, and noticeable like the guys who have them spinning in their 360 wave pictures. Despite the disappointment, I was still motivated and willing to put in every bit of work it would take to get to the top level of waving. This is where the day method begins. 

   
     The 360 wave process day method is very simple. The main idea of the day method is that your brush becomes like your cell phone. It goes with you every where. It goes with you to the store, it goes with your cousins house on the weekend, it goes with you to Disney Land, it goes with you to school, it goes with you to the bathroom, it goes with you to everywhere. The reason why you take your brush with you everywhere is so that any chance you get when your hands are free your can brush your hair. The most important thing when trying to get waves is brushing. Brushing get you waves. No products will get you waves. Products only make the waves you already have look nicer. If you don't have waves then you should be worrying about if you're brushing enough and not about getting a pomade or grease. The day method is brushing your hair every chance you get all trough out the day. When I was beginning, I brushed all through out the day when ever I had a free chance to do so. To put it in to perspective i'm going to estimate that I spent a minimum of two ours brushing my hair a day. On some days I'd brush my hair all around for almost a minute at least every 10 minutes. There are 1440 minutes in a day, divide that by 10 minutes & get 144 minutes. That is a little over 2 and a half hours of brushing. Account for gaps of  time when I'd be eating, or doing something that distracted me from brushing and i'd say its 2 hours at the least. It's amazing because despite all the time i spent brushing my hair It still took me a long time to get my waves spinning 360. That goes to show why some people give up when trying to get waves. They just never get to the point where the figure out how much brushing it takes to make progress.

Variation

    Some of you may be thinking, I can't brush my hair all day i'm too busy, I have work, I have school, the people around me will wonder this, I just can't brush all day. To the people who have an excuse such as those, I say to you the day method may not be for you. This is why i'm going to introduce this variation of the day method to you. For people who don't have the time to brush every few minutes I understand. If i was to start over today, I feel I would not have the time to brush that every 10 minutes because my schedule is pact. My advice is to still keep your brush with you, but instead of brushing every 10 minutes just when ever you get a chance to get a brush session in, get it in. The brush session should be at least five minutes of non stop brushing all around. Day brushing is very important to making good progress and this is why i'm stressing that you get it in any way you can.

   If your day method brushing is cut short this is not the end of your 360 wave journey. You can still make up the missed opportunity of daytime brush session by coming in strong with the night time method. The day method leads up to the night method. If you don't have enough time to complete the day method, then you are in luck because you can make up for it in the 360waveprocess night method. I plan on making a Night method video soon. How to get 360 waves: A quick short Answer email

   Ok so recently I got an email from someone who asked for my help. He's cool. I hope he doesn't mind that I used his email, but I feel this could help a lot of people because many people experience this same problem that he mentioned in his email.  Here is the email. Where he tells the problem that many people have, and then I answer the question and let him know the best way to go about getting 360 waves:

   Ok I understand you. You messed up when you permed it. You need curly hair to get waves. So first you need to remove the perm, then get a hair cut. After you do those two things you get yourself a good wave brush and make sure you brush your hair everyday! You need to be brushing your hair like every ten minutes. Not Literally every ten minutes but you need to have your brush with you all the time and every chance you get you need to get a brush session in. That is the most effective way to get them fast. 

   Also when you go to sleep make sure you wear a Durag to improve and speed up your progress. 

Also only get your haircut 1 time very month. You can go longer than 1 month without cutting it but never cut it in  more than 1 time in a month. This is the method that get the results the fastest ! You have to allow your hair time to regenerate it's self. If you continue to get your hair lined up frequently your hair line will keep receding more and more until you have the horrible looking U shaped hairline instead of the straight Box ] shaped line up.
     Lets look at this very prevalent example in famous people. I'm sure you have noticed a few famous people who have terrible hairlines. This is because when they became famous they ended up trying to look "Superstar good" every week by getting their hairstyle maintained very frequently. Now there is nothing wrong with that, if you have the money to spare then why not huhh? Well for one you can do that, but the question is... is it worth it? What happens is that in order to get the 1 week haircut to look fresh again the barber must shave the hair line back just a little bit. Now think about it. If you get a line up or hairstyle touch up once a week after a while your hairline will be pushed back very far compared to its original spacing. This brings us to the final statement. If you are currently experiencing or are a victim of a receding hairline then you must stop getting your hairline touched up to allow you hair to re-grow and regenerate its self. This is completely free so there is no excuse. This in reality is beneficial in more than one way because you will be saving money by not going to the barber as much, that is unless if you cut your own hair.

Getting waves is a process and it does take some time however, if you have the right support group you will find the process fun  and exiting.
 We all know that 360waveProcess is leading in the quest of helping guys get 360 waves. We all know that Rashaad is on twitter, Facebook, and YouTube helping people to get waves in their hair. You most likely want answers to your questions about getting waves because you desire the sleek hairstyle. Women love them, men want them, a few get them, and a lot of guys try and fail. I know the feeling, the burning desire of wanting waves because there are not many hairstyle choices for black, African American men/ boys. So how long does it take ?

     Alright guys lets get into the details. Beginning with the basics, we all know by now all of the steps to getting waves because we have all seen the, How to get 360 waves for beginners 2013 method video that is on the 360waveProcess channel. In that video I discuss all the basic things you need to know about how to get them, but what I failed to discuss is how long it would take exactly. Well the answer to the famous, unknown, secretive question of how long does it take to get 360 waves is... The answer to the question is, it depends...

What does it depend on ?

     What does it depend on you ask. Well there are factors that determine how quickly you will get waves. These factors, or variables all determine if you can get 360 waves fast. We all want waves as fast as possible  and this is why i'm going to let you know these main four factors that determine how quickly you will get waves.

Factor # 1

     The first factor is you! Everyone has different genetics and different hair textures. As a result of these different hair textures some people can get waves more quickly than others. Usually mixed guys with hair that is less coarse/nappy are the ones who seem to get waves with less effort and less time. I believe they're able to get it faster because their hair is curls up but it is not as curly as the guys with coarse hair so when they brush it, it get trained to lay down more easier and faster therefor giving them waves in less time than some with hair that is more on the curly/coarse/nappy side. 

Factor # 2

    The second factor is how much you brush your hair. Like I said earlier we all know that to get three-sixty waves a guy/girl needs to brush their hair a lot just as i explained in my 2013 beginners video. It is simple. If you do not brush your hair enough, then you Will Not get 360 waves. It doesn't matter if you bought some 360 wave products that say they help you get waves. If you don't brush, then you won't get waves. It is that simple. To make things clear, the second factor is how much you brush your hair.

I'd just like to remind you guys that some guys just don't brush their hair enough and then wonder why they are not getting results. In order to get waves you need to follow rule number one & that is to brush your hair a lot, and when i say a lot i mean every single day. That is what it takes guys! Tips for Cutting Hair and 360 Waves

•  Make sure that your hair has no products in it, (No grease, No Pomade, No Nothing).
•  Comb your 360 waves out forward the same way you brush them.
•  Find the guard length you desire, (Beginning wavers, no less than a 1.5 guard).
• Then get your clippers and cut your hair with the grain (WTG)
•  Periodically comb hair to lift it up so that it can be easier to cut (when needed).

How to Make Your 360 Waves More Deep & Wide

 I can help you learn how to make your 360 waves wider. To make your 360 waves look wider there are simple things you can do. These things may or may not be as effective as you want, but they will make your waves appear more wide.
 
   First thing you can do is get a brush with wider spaces than the one you currently use. A brush with wider spaces forces your waves to become longer which makes them look wider.

   The other thing you can do is comb your waves. You can do this in combination with using a brush with wider spaces. So you comb your waves forward just as you would if you were brushing them and once you comb all around, you get your brush and then you brush your waves right back down.

From Mini Waves - To - Thicker Waves

     The comb lifts your waves off of your head a makes them straighten out a little bit, and then when you brush it right back down your brush lays the 360 waves back down and this is training your waves to lay down and to look more wide.
You just keep doing this as much as you like comb, then brush down, comb and then brush down. You will see the difference. Making this apart of your every day routine will cause your waves to look more wide without you having to do more than brush it. F
